When Benito DeVincenzo arrived in the United States in 1949, he brought with him an amazing work ethic, a great sense of pride, and old world craftsmanship as a mason contractor. These values and skills quickly translated into a successful business for Benito who began building staircases and stone fireplaces for local homeowners. As the business grew, Benito developed a solid reputation in the industry and began taking on commercial projects as well. Over the years he developed close relationships with his customers who quickly realized his knowledge and skills ranged beyond masonry. They valued Benito's advice as a contractor and hired him to complete different projects ranging from carpentry to concrete and structural projects. Benito passed on this work ethic and skill set to his son Dante who, after graduating from Wentworh Institute of Technology in 1972, continued working in the family business full time. Dante took over the company in 1989 and has steadily grown DeVincenzo and Sons since. He expanded the concrete and general contracting divisions and added snow plowing to the list of services.
DeVincenzo and Sons came into its third generation in 2001 when Dante’s son, David, came to work full time after graduating from Babson College. Together, Dante and David sustain Benito’s tradition of hard work, pride, and craftsmanship while implementing education, technology, and a safe work environment to the company’s everyday operations.
